New Ajax striker Wout Weghorst scored and cried after just one minute of his debut at the Johan Cruijff Arena on Saturday.

The 30-year-old, who joined from Burnley in January, was making his first appearance for the Dutch giants at his new home ground.

And he marked the occasion in style, scoring with a header from a corner in the opening minute.

Weghorst was clearly overcome with emotion after scoring, and he shed a tear as he was congratulated by his teammates.

The goal was Weghorst's first for Ajax, and it helped the team to a 2-0 win over Sparta Rotterdam.

It was a memorable debut for Weghorst, and it will be one that he will never forget.
