Arsenal see off Bournemouth to remain top of the Premier League

The Gunners extended their unbeaten run to nine matches with a comfortable victory over the Cherries

Arsenal maintained their position at the summit of the Premier League table with a 3-0 victory over Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Goals from Martin Odegaard, William Saliba and Gabriel Jesus sealed the points for the Gunners, who extended their unbeaten run to nine matches in all competitions.

Mikel Arteta's side started the match brightly and took the lead in the 11th minute when Odegaard curled a superb effort into the top corner from the edge of the area.

Saliba doubled the advantage just five minutes later, heading home from close range after Bukayo Saka's corner had caused chaos in the Bournemouth defence.

Jesus made sure of the points in the 54th minute, tapping home from close range after being played in by Odegaard.

The win sees Arsenal move one point clear of Manchester City at the top of the table, while Bournemouth remain 12th.
